While working on this song I recalled:

That day when he princess carried me in the middle of a water park like we were the only ones there.
That night when he called to tell me that he needed to face his past alone.

That night when I finally mustered the courage to offer to do anything I could so that she wouldn't need to walk alone.
That day when I finally realized that I needed to let her go to chase her future.

I will never know whether fighting to stay, or not, would have lead to a different outcome.
But I hope that there will come a day when I get to make the choice once more.
