Utai Meika (歌衣メイカ) is a male Japanese Virtual YouTuber who originally debuted in 2018 as the female VTuber and virtual cosplayer Utai Makea. In September 2018, she joined upd8. In January 2019, they gained their male VTuber form. Their female form is named "Makea" while their male form is called "Meika".
In January 2020, Makea moved to a "producer" role in favor of Meika taking over as the channel's sole VTuber. In December 2020, upd8 disbanded and Meika returned to independent VTuber status.
